For internal transport in for example a distribution centre it is important that the orders will be picked up fast and efficiently from the store. Then the products must and are collected at the correct place and in the correct combination for sending to the customer.
The control system must be able to fulfil the following functions to realise it in a proper way. On the one hand it must control all transports, sorting, storage and packing machines adequately. On the other hand the control system must also handle administrative tasks which are necessary for a good settlement. This requires a good system integration. If the above points are implemented in the correct manner, a Scada/control system can supervise the quality control and data handling.
